Yoga does much more for you than just provide relaxation and stretching. You improve your posture, flexibility, and strength while increasing your ability to concentrate, focus, and decrease blood pressure. The benefits of yoga even extend to better self-esteem and improved relationships, so it is easy to see why it is so popular.
The real problem that most people encounter with yoga is the price. A single drop in class can run you $20 or more. Monthly memberships vary in price as well and even triple digit pricing is common in some parts of the country. Luckily, there are other alternatives, and most of them are going to be less expensive.
If you already belong to a gym, start by looking in to the classes offered. Many gyms offer yoga classes, and for an individual who is relatively fit and coordinated, this is a good way to try out yoga without making an additional financial commitment.
Sony’s got another security breach on its hands. This time, hackers may have made off with the information of about 24 million users of Sony Online Entertainment products, which include games like Everquest and DC Universe Online. Sony doesn’t think credit card information was stolen, but hackers also breached an “outdated” database from 2007 that included the credit and debit card numbers of more than 24,000 overseas customers, Politico reports.
Sony says it “promptly shut down all servers related to SOE” when its investigators discovered the breach. The news comes hot on the heels of Sony’s refusal to testify before the House Energy and Commerce Committee about its Playstation Network fiasco. The company says it will provide written answers to questions instead. “Millions of

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Eike Batista, chairman of Brazilian conglomerate EBX Group, predicted Monday that the price of gold will hit $2,500 an ounce.
Mr. Batista’s remarks came during a lunch-time discussion at the annual Milken Institute Global Conference. The panel was moderated by The Wall Street Journal’s Paul Gigot.
Mr. Batista didn’t give a timeframe for his prediction.

The general consensus these days is that the economy is enjoying a steady if unspectacular recovery, writes Henry Blodget at Business Insider. After all, stocks and corporate profits are up and the unemployment rate is down. In a column headlined “Dont Mean To Be Rude, But The Economy Sucks,” Blodget says conventional wisdom is wrong. Plenty of “key metrics” are off—inflation, housing prices, jobless claims—along with todays report of “pathetic” 1.8% growth in GDP.
That kind of growth “in the face of massive stimulus is the equivalent of your car sputtering down the highway at 45 miles per hour while you have the gas pedal floored,” he writes. “You might be glad that the car hasnt broken down completely, but you certainly wont conclude that all is well.” And yet thats exactly what people conclude about the recovery. NEW YORK — David Sokol, the Berkshire Hathaway Inc. executive who resigned last month, violated company policies and misled senior management about his personal investments, according to a report by the audit committee of Berkshire’s board of directors.
Sokol, who bought shares of a chemicals company shortly before recommending that Berkshire acquire the company outright, may face legal action from the Berkshire board to recover gains from the trades, according to the report, which was released Wednesday by Berkshire.
Sokol insisted in conversations with Berkshire Chairman Warren Buffett and in public statements that his departure was unrelated to the stock purchases. On Wednesday night, Sokol’s lawyer, in a statement, took issue with the report’s conclusions and said the audit committee hadn’t contacted him.
